You Didn’t Start the Fire

Many things that get most us all upset are usually situations we didn’t create. They were created by someone else, but we often feel as if we are responsible for putting out the fire … a fire that will never be extinguished. Still, we run around, filled with anxiety, fear and frustration, because we can’t put the FIRE out.

In the words of the great entertainer, Billy Joel, “We didn’t start the fire, it was always burning since the world’s been turning.”

There are some problems, which will remain here long after we’re gone. There are situations, which will never know peace in our lifetime. What you must do is focus on the small things, and let the big ones take care of themselves. Focus on the things you CAN do, and you’ll begin to feel the difference.

Focus on loving your family. Focus on taking better care of your body. Focus on what’s GOOD in your life right now. Focus on breathing. Exhale …

Enjoy your weekend!
