Just Say NO

Ladies, it’s another Girl Friend Friday, and for many women business owners and professionals, it’s time to kickback (relax) and take a breather from a long week of work. Being everything from the cook to the nurse at home, while trying to be superwoman on the job will eventually rattle your nerves.

Sooner or later, you’ve got to realize that your body can only take so much pressure before you start snapping like a turtle. So … this weekend, set aside some time to relax, unwind and regroup. The world will keep turning. You don’t have to feel obligated to hold every little thing together all the time. Besides, it’s not your job. Most of the things we worry about, never even happen.

So … for all of you ladies who have a habit of spreading yourselves too thin, remember … “NO” is not a bad word. Just say NO, and rest your body and soul.

2 had something to say.
  1. Megan from Australia

Somebody confronted me once with a simple question: How will I know when your no means no if your yes doesn't really mean yes.

I have never forgotten it and nowadays, when I say yes to something, I mean it. It has made my life so much easier and manageable. I no longer say, "yes" through gritted teeth and wish I was somewhere else doing something that suited me better.

  2. PYNTK

Wow. I like this Megan. Women sometimes have a problem with being "matter of fact." We can't be everywhere doing everything. So let's just do the things we CAN with a definite YES and not give our WORD out so lightly. I love it. :-)
