How long have you been in Atlanta?
Lived in Atlanta for 5 years, moving here from New York – moved from Barbados when I was 12
Name of your business … title … what/who inspired you to get in the business … how did they inspire you?
Impact Image, L.L.C. – Certified Image Consultant and Personal Branding Strategist. I empower, educate and inspire others. I love helping others look and feel good. My friends always came to me for advice with their relationships — how to dress for certain occasions, hair, and how they look overall. I truly believe if you do not get at least one compliment for the day, there is a need for a change, whether in attitude, image or both.
I have never gone out and not received a compliment. I always strive to look my best and create what I call the Walk on Water (W.O.W.) factor and I stay positive, no matter what. I always see a light at the end of the tunnel and my glass is always half full. What I do is not a job, it’s a lifestyle.
I am a one stop shop. I can help you get from where you are to where you want to be. Personal Branding and Image Management are my passions because they tie together the internal and the external — how you look on the outside with who you are on the inside.
What do you love about Atlanta?
It’s a mecca, a mesh of people from all over the world. It’s like a young NY.
What has been your greatest accomplishment so far? (work related)
Motivating and inspiring others so they can be the best they can be. I’d like to think I make an impact on people wherever I go, with whomever I happen to come in contact with, empowering all individuals to create change, so they can have a positive image and a personal brand for maximum results. I assist them in gaining greater visibility and high impact, which can ultimately help them achieve both their personal and business goals.
Best book you’ve ever read, other than the Bible?
Law of Attraction
Improvise: There are two ways of meeting difficulties – you can alter the difficulties or alter yourself to meet them. ~Phyllis Bottome
What has been the lowest point in your life and how did you get over it?
I was a Realtor during the Real Estate fall-out. I lost everything … my house, my car, my confidence. Failure for me was not an option. I knew I needed to get back up and keep it moving. Adversity does not build character, it reveals it. I once read a quote which said … “I had the blues because I had no shoes until upon the street, I met a man who had no feet.” I’m always thankful for what I have instead of complaining about what I don’t have.

Best advice you’ve ever been given
To always be true to and believe in yourself. Never allow anyone or anything to change who you are or mold you into someone you are not!
The one thing everyone must know about doing business in Atlanta
You can’t be truly successful without integrity. Albert Einstein said, “Try not to become a man of success but rather try to become a man of value.”
What inspires you?
My children are my greatest inspiration. They make me laugh, they make me want to be successful, they make me get up every day and make it happen.
What is your hope for 2011?
2011 will be a phenomenal year for me. I believe in me and what I do. I have a gift, a passion for helping others, a passion for life and a drive and determination to succeed. I am committed to helping my clients, Entrepreneurs/Solopreneurs and small businesses take their business to the next level. In addition I want to help them achieve clarity so they can communicate their message and see their vision and goals become a reality.
I will become successful by helping others become successful.
