A Moment to Reflect on 2010
It’s the end of the year! I don’t know about you, but for me, it seemed to arrive like a fast moving train with no stops in between.
If I polled a few people about their opinion of the past year, I’m quite certain that I’ll discover some folks who would like to remember many things that happened in 2010, some who would like to FORGET everything that happened and even some who couldn’t care less, one way or the other. In spite of everything, we have all arrived at this point in time, together as ONE.
The remaining hours have definitely put me in a reflective mood. Although there have been some trying moments, I have great confidence in the future. Anton Chekhov once said, “Let us learn to appreciate there will be times when the trees will be bare, and look forward to the time when we may pick the fruit.”
As I approach the many doors of opportunity for 2011, I’ve promised myself that the best I can do is to try to learn as much as I can from as many people as I can and then put it to good use. In the words of James Thurber, “Let us not look back in anger, nor forward in fear, but around in awareness.”
As much as you are able … have faith, press forward and walk in your destiny. In doing so, you’ll help me walk in mine. I sincerely wish you a bounty of goodness each and every single day as you continue to travel along the exciting road of life in 2011.
